FLICKER SCOOTER PROGRAM
Thank you to Mr. Gardea for bringing a unique experience to our campus. Magnolia's 3rd through 6th grade students were given the opportunity to learn how to ride Flicker scooters safely during their PE periods. They all seemed to have had a great time as they rode aorund on our upper playground. Thank you, UCLA Lab School!

Mariachi Corazon de Magnolia
Thirty students from Magnolia's Mariachi Corazon de Magnolia performed at the Mariachi Heritage Society's annual fundraising concert. They played at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena in April. They opened the show for Mariachi Reynas de Los Angeles, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, and special guest Lorenzo Negrete. It was a fantastic show! RONALD McDONALD VISITS MAGNOLIA

Banked Time Tuesdays for 2011-2012In recognition of the importance of professional development for teachers and administrators to bring about most improved education for students, the Los Angeles Unified School District has adopted a Professional Development Banked Time Policy for the 2011-2012 school year. In order to implement the policy, all students will attend school an additional four (4) minutes every day of the year, beginning the first day of school. The students then will, be dismissed one (1) hour early on the following uesdays to provide time for administrators and teachers to participate in on-going professional development sessions. Magnolia students will be dismissed at 1:24 p.m. :
